The largest gathering in the maritime world – SMM, the international trade fair that takes place every other year in Hamburg – is soon upon us. With over 2,200 exhibitors and about 50,000 visitors from all over the world, SMM is the most important event in the maritime industry calendar.
The two leading clean-tech companies from Scandinavia, Scanship and Climeon, have teamed up to present their environmental solutions for the maritime industry to more than 50,000 visitors at this year’s SMM trade fair in Hamburg.
We asked Carl Berglund, Head of Maritime Sales at Climeon, and Henrik Badin, CEO at Scanship, why:
“We are two world leading clean-tech companies with the same aspiration to help the maritime industry move towards a more sustainable future.” says Carl Berglund and continues “It’s not a partnership but rather a joint commitment to support a greater cause. Two voices will always be stronger than one and we want to show the industry that this type of collaboration and joint effort is, what we believe, required to reach the long-term Maritime commitment, connected to the Sustainable Development Goals.”
“Both our companies provide technology to improve the environmental performance of ship operations. With our solutions we will prevent pollution to sea and reduce fuel consumption by capturing energy currently being wasted, a strong and complemental offering to the maritime world” says Henrik Badin.
